Start in Lisbon's downtown by getting to know Rossio and Figueira square, filled with details that reveal a bit of the Portuguese history. Get ready to explore the sinuous and narrowly paved streets of the most vivid quarters in Lisbon, while you enjoy the sounds, aromas and the colors of the surrounding area as you listen to your guide.
Passing by the Church of Saint Anthony, you'll get a little more acquainted with the story of this Portuguese martyr and his birth place. Just nearby, discover the imposing Cathedral of Lisbon, referred as "Sé" and find in its interior some of Portugal's most relevant artistic styles. From there, go back in time to the era of Roman occupation in the Portuguese territory as you visit the remains of the Roman Theatre.
The next stop is at Saint Luzia's Belvedere where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful view over the Tagus River. Then climb up to St-George's Castle and hear about the several communities that inhabited this city in the past and the kings that made history here.
Continuing your walk through those typical and unique streets, you'll pass by the São Vicente de Fora Church and the National Pantheon. Then enter the Alfama quarter, famous by its "Fado", our most typical folklore traditions. Coming down to the "Casa dos Bicos", have a moment to admire one of the most traditional Portuguese artistic creations, the "azulejaria" (adorned with glazed tiles).
Finally, stroll around in the seductive Augusta Street, an essential spot with luxurious shops and typical restaurants.
