Lisbon 'Downtown' Tour

From April - Oct 2007: Mondays and Saturdays (2.30pm); Thursdays (10am).
From Nov 2007 - Mar 2008: Thursdays (10am); and Saturdays (2.30pm).

No Pick-up is provided at your hotel, with the tour starting from Praca do Comercio, at the Rua Alfandega corner - across from the famous old cafe Martinho da Arcada", one of Fernando Pessoa's favourites. The guide will be standing on the wide sidewalk close to the arches (or underneath them if it rains) across from the Sightseeing Tours buses. He will be handing out Lisbon Walker leaflets and wearing a stylish identifier that may change in shape or form throughout the year, but will always look orange and black. Check the logo at the Map section. The nearest subway stations are Rossio or Chiado.

Praca do Comercio, also called Terreiro do Paco is easy to find - it is the biggest square of Lisbon down to the Tagus River with a statue in the middle representing King Jose I.

Please note: Try to remember that if you ask someone in the street for directions, they will probably answer: "Praca do Comercio? Oh Terreiro do Paco".
