Bairro Alto Hotel has 55 rooms distributed on five floors. Room categories - Mansard, Single, Superior, Deluxe, Prestige, Suite. The attic rooms are on the fifth floor, and have their own décor The other rooms have the typical Portuguese colour scheme as their base: yellow - symbolic of the Portuguese tram, ivory white - reflecting the Lioz stone of the Portuguese pavement, blue for the Tagus River and a terracotta red symbolising Lisbon's ceramic roof tiles. All the rooms have Brazilian wood flooring while the walls are finished with painted wood panelling in the corresponding colour.
